Delete your OneMatch account

This page explains how to delete your account in the OneMatch app and website (developer: OneMatch), and what happens to your data.

Option 1: Delete in the app (instant)

  1. Open the OneMatch app and sign in.
  2. Tap the menu icon (☰) at the top left of the home screen.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Tap Delete permanently to confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

Use this if you no longer have the app installed or can't sign in.

  1. Email hello@onematch.in with the subject "Delete my OneMatch account".
  2. Include the phone number or Google email address you use to sign in to OneMatch.
  3. We may reply to confirm the account belongs to you.
  4. We delete your account within 30 days and email you when it's done.

Data that is deleted

  • Your sign-in account (phone number or Google sign-in)
  • Your profile: name, date and time of birth, gender, preferences, personality and professional details, contact details, and location
  • Your photos, verification selfie, and intro video and voice recordings
  • Your profile handle and public profile link
  • All your matches, and the chat rooms with their messages, images, and voice notes
  • Your push-notification token

Data that is kept, and for how long

  • Payment records (order or purchase ID, amount, date, and the Premium plan bought) are kept for 8 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting law. Card, UPI, and bank details are held only by Google Play or Razorpay, never by us.
  • Safety reports you filed, or that other members filed about you, are kept for 1 year to prevent abuse and fraud, then deleted.
  • Media file copies on our media host and database backups are removed within 30 days.

Remaining Premium time is not refunded when you delete your account. Anonymous feedback survey answers are not linked to your account, so they can't be identified or deleted.

Just need a break?

You can pause your account instead from the app menu (Pause account). Pausing hides your profile and stops match alerts without deleting anything.

See our Privacy Policy for more about how we handle your data.
